Teams will receive 3 games.  In certain age groups/divisions, one team my have a 4-game schedule due to an uneven number of teams in their bracket/division.

4-team Divisions:  Group play, 3 games each playing every other team within the division.

5-team Divisions:  Group play, randomly selecting 3 of the 4 opposing teams within the division.  One team will receive 4 games.

6-team Divisions:  Two brackets of 3 teams.  Group play (2 games) within the bracket.  The third game is based on the standings after the 2 preliminary games.  There are no playoffs, however the 3rd game is determined based on standings in an effort to find the best competition for all teams.  Please check the standings for seeding prior to your 3rd game.  Games are noted on the schedule currently as A#1vB#1 (top seeds from Brackets A & B), A#2vB#2 (2nd seeds from Brackets A & B), and A#3vB#3 (3rd seeds from Brackets A & B).

All games are 25 minutes in duration, running time.

Standings are determined by the following point system for all divisions:

  • 6 points for a win
  • 3 points for a tie
  • 0 points for a loss

Additional points:

  • One point for each goal scored (max of 3 per game).  Losing team receives points for goals scored also (max of 3 per game).
  • One point for each shutout.

In the event of a forfeited game, the winner will be credited with a 3-0 win and awarded 10 points.
A game abandoned by a team will result in the opposing team winning.  The final score will be based on the score at the time the game was stopped.
Teams are allowed 5 minutes from scheduled game time until the match is declared a forfeit.
No points are awarded if neither team shows up.

Example:  A 0-0 tie will be scored as 4 points for each team (3 points for a tie, 1 point for the shutout).  A 4-2 game will be scored as 9 points for the winning team (6 points for the win, plus 3 points for goals) and 2 points for the losing team (for the 2 goals scored).

Based on the number of teams in the division and the number of games guaranteed, some divisions may not have a head to head matchup which is why the point system above is used.

In the event of a points tie, places will be determined as follows:
A.  Head to Head
B.  Goal Differential
C.  Goals For
D.  Goals Against
E.  Most Shutouts
F.  Penalty Kicks (if it reaches this stage, the time & location will be communicated to both teams by tournament staff.

There are no playoffs/awards for this event.  The tie breakers will only be used to determine final seedings for divisions containing 6 teams.
