EPPING, NH – The Seacoast United U16 & U17 Boys Academy Teams make their way down south for the highly anticipated MLS NEXT End of Season Playoff/Showcase Event in Dallas, Texas on Thursday.
The U16 Academy will be participating in the playoffs with hopes of going far in the national competition. After a successful season, both the players and the staff are full of confidence and they are looking forward to playing against competition from outside the region.
For the U17 Academy, this weekend’s event will serve as the perfect opportunity for the players to gain college exposure. With the recruitment ban now lifted, the players will have the chance to perform in front of college coaches from all around the country. MLS NEXT is the highest level of boys youth soccer that is offered in the United States so this will be extremely important to colleges as they look to identify prospective players for their 2022/23 recruitment classes.
“The MLS NEXT End of Season Playoffs/Showcase is a fantastic opportunity for our players to perform in front of an abundance of college coaches & professional scouts.” Said Boys Academy Director Peter Decker. “This is widely regarded as the top showcase event in the US and it’s a fantastic opportunity to see how far our program has come over the last 12 months.”
The MLS NEXT End of Season Playoffs/Showcase will take place in Dallas, Texas between June 25th - 29th. For the latest updates, please follow Seacoast United’s official social media accounts.
