U17 Girls Shine in North Carolina

After a dissapointing State final loss, the U17 Girls Premier team has gone from strength to strength.  Putting a string of impressive results together in the Super Y league, have placed them close to the top of the league with a record of five wins and one loss.  Scoring 33 goals in six games, while conceding only 11.

On July 19th, the girls travelled to Greensboro NC for a college showcase.  Over 48 teams from all over the country competed, witnessed by 180 College coaches.  The girls posted a record of 1-1-1 through group play, giving them a tougher draw in sudden death knock-out.  From there, the team showed tremendoes character winning the next four games and taking the red division championship, beating the Dallas Texans in the Championship game 2-1.

Playing 7 games in 4 days in 100% temperature was extremely difficult.  To have the perserverance and play as well as they did to win the competition was unbelievable.  Hopefully the girls can now have the belief and confidence to go on and win the Super Y league.
