Seacoast United Girls To Join National Premier League, Fall 2013

April 24, 2013

HAMPTON, NH - Seacoast United is proud to announce that it has been accepted as one of four New England club joining the National Premier League (NPL) beginning in the fall of 2013.  For the past two years, Seacoast United has researched the best available league to offer its elite female players throughout northern New England, resulting in the acceptance into the NPL.
Seacoast United, one of the original clubs selected as part of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy program on the boys side is now able to offer a similar high-level of competition through the NPL for its female players.
The acceptance of the Seacoast United girls program into the NPL will allow the Club for the first time to create a team at each age group that combines elite players from within Seacoast United’s family of clubs.
"Seacoast United will continue to strive to provide the best opportunities for its male and female players," commented Iain Scott, Seacoast United’s Director of Coaching.  "Participating in the NY-NPL provides regional and national exposure for our elite female players to compete at the highest level possible throughout the year."
The addition of the New England clubs brings the Girls NY-NPL division to 16 members for the 2013/14 season.  Seacoast United will enter one team in each of the U12-U18 age groups.  The NY-NPL is a US Club Soccer sanctioned league, and promises to provide the most competitive schedule based in the Northeast region.  Read the US Club Soccer press release here.
In 2012, Seacoast United had finalists in every age group from U12-U18 in the New Hampshire and Maine State Cups, resulting in 9 combined State Championships.
