Girls' Coaches

U10 Premier Pool DR:  Dave Richard 
 

David is originally from Kingston, NH and grew up playing for Sanborn Regional High School.  David started coaching locally for Fremont, NH in 2000.  He has been the President of the Fremont Athletic Association, Recreation Soccer Coordinator and Travel Soccer Coordinator for several years.  In 2008 David created a Futsal winter training program for the travel players and high school players from Fremont, Kingston, and Newton.

David has coached girls competitively for 14 years ranging in ages from U9-U15.  During this time, David’s teams have enjoyed several league championships, state championships, and President’s Cup and State Cup championships.  He is currently the U13 Girls NPL Elite coach and is entering his fifth year with Seacoast United.  While at Seacoast, he has coached girls' U12, U13, and U15 teams.

In 2012, David was named New Hampshire’s Girls Competitive Coach of the Year.  David currently holds a USSF "C" License.  

He works for Liberty Mutual in Dover, NH and lives in Fremont with his wife Kathie and daughters Jillian, Emily, and Sarah.  Jillian attends University of New England in Biddeford, Maine and Emily attends Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA.  Jillian and Emily are playing soccer for their respective colleges.  Sarah is a junior at Sanborn Regional High School and is enjoying her 2nd year on the varsity team.

U11 Premier KF:  Kim Foley
  Kim is a former member of the US Youth National Team at the U14, U16, U18, and U20 age groups.  A graduate of the University of New Hampshire, she is a former captain of the Women's Soccer team, 2nd all time leading scorer for the UNH Women's Soccer program, and a Hall of Fame Inductee for the UNH Women's Soccer Team.  She currently holds a USSF B License and resides in Deerfield, NH with her husband Al and two children Liam and Delaney.  Kim has been coaching with Seacoast United since 1997.

U12 Premier Pool CS:  Chris Scott

Chris, a native of Glasgow, Scotland, started with Seacoast United in 2011.  Before SUSC, Chris had playing spells with Clyde Football Club and Morton Football Club in Scotland.  Through his playing experience he began coaching with local professional football clubs.  He was involved in the youth development system at St. Mirren Football Club and also achieved a bachelor’s degree in Sport and Physical Education from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow.

Chris has been coaching in the United States since 2009, where he started off working for Challenger Sports and then Elite UK Soccer.  Before moving to NH, he coached in Atlanta GA for Cobb Football Club.  Chris has his Scottish Football Association (SFA) levels 1, 2, 3, and 4 along with his SFA Youth License and USSF D License.

Chris is currently the Girls’ Director of Coaching (U10-U18) and the Club's Tournament Director.

   
U12 Premier Pool:  Ross Yeoman

From Edinburgh, Scotland, Ross is in his first year coaching with Seacoast United.  He recently graduated from Edinburgh Napier University with a Bachelors Degree in Sports and Exercise Science along with Sports Coaching.  Before SUSC, Ross had spells in Scotland at Rangers, Heart of Midlothian, and St. Johnstone.  Throughout his playing career, he learned a lot from highly qualified coaches and was involved in coaching with his local school team for 3 years.  Ross has achieved his SFA levels 1 and 2 for coaching and throughout his time at University he volunteered at various soccer programs throughout the city.

The last 2 years, Ross has worked at a summer camp in New York which involved working with adults and kids with severe special needs along with inner city kids.  He is very excited to be a part of Seacoast United and looking forward to working with the U12 Girls Premier and U17 Girls Elite teams this season.

U13 Elite DM:  Deb McDonough
 

Deb McDonough has been coaching competitively in the New Hampshire area for 20 years.  Having worked with players from ages 4 to 18, Deb has extensive experience at the Olympic Development level, Elite level, High School level and has led her teams to numerous league championships, state championships, tournament championships and awards.  In 2008, Deb was named the NH Competitive boys coach of the year.  
As a player, she headed up a 3 year State Championship, undefeated team in CT earning All-American honors and going on to play Division 1 at the College of William and Mary.  Deb earned her Bachelors in Psychology there and then went on to earn a Masters in Psychology and Counseling from Assumption College, specializing in working with children.   Deb currently teaches and advises at Southern New Hampshire University and resides in Bedford with her three children.   Deb holds a USSF C license.

   
U13 Premier JK:  Jen Kelly
 

Current USSF "D" License holder Jen Kelly is originally from Marshfield, MA.  Jen attended high school at Notre Dame Academy in Hingham, MA where she played soccer and ran indoor & outdoor track.  She was a Patriot League All-Scholastic Athlete in both indoor & outdoor track, State Championship and All New England runner in the 600 and 400 meters as well as a State Championship Heptathlete.  Jen earned a four year athletic scholarship to Fordham University in the Bronx, NY where she ran the 400, 500, and 800 meter events.  She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in both French Studies and African-American Studies in 1999.

In 2004, Jen attended NHTI in Concord, NH, earning an Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2006.  She is currently employed as a Dental Hygienst at Newmarket Dental in NH.

Jen has coached for Seacoast United since 2005, progressing from Grassroots classes and Jr. Academy programs to coaching her first team in 2006.  In 2012 Jen became part of the team responsible for fitness testing all the soccer players within the Club and implementing corrective programs from the results gathered.

   
U14 Elite CS:  Chris Scott

U14 Premier JP:  James Peterson

 A native Floridian, James attended college at the University of South Florida from 2005-2009 where he studied Business Marketing.  During this time he acquired his USSF "D" coaching license.  In 2010 he moved to Oxford, England where he studied Sport and Coach Science at Oxford Brookes University.  During his 3 years in Oxford, James worked and gained experience at Oxford United Football Club.  Taking on the role of Group Ticket Sales Manager, his responsibilities developed into the first ever Partnership Officer role at the Club where they established partnerships with 15 grassroot clubs.  

While working at Oxford United, James was an Assistant Manager with the Oxford University Men's team under OUFC Assistant Manager Mickey Lewis.  In his last year coaching the team, they went on to record an undefeated season and won the league.  James also completed his FA Level 2 degree.

James is now working at Seacoast United as the Director of Sales and Marketing for all of Seacoast United and has an assistant coach role with the Seacoast United Phantoms PDL team.

   
U14 Select JK:  Jen Kelly

U15 Elite MW:  Matt Willey
 

Matt played college soccer at Southern NH University and was a member of the NE-10 Conference Champions and National Runners-Up in 2002.  He majored in Elementary Education and has a minor in Sociology.  Matt has been teaching 3rd grade at Henniker Community School for 6 years.  During the summer he runs a day camp through YMCA in Goffstown, NH where he also does personal training during the winter months.

Matt has been coaching youth soccer since finishing his college career.  He has coached a variety of ages from U8-High School.  The 2011-12 season was his first year with Seacoast United, where he coached Jr. Academy programs out of Hampstead and Kingston.  He also ran footskills and speed & agility classes for the Club.  During the 2011-12 season, he coached the U12 Girls Premier side.  During the summer of 2012, he coached the U13 Girls Super Y team who won the New England region and will play in the North American Finals to be held in December in Florida.

 

   
U15 Premier NO:  Nick O’Brien
Nick played his collegiate soccer at the University of Maine - Farmington as a defender.  He is currently a teacher and coach at Winnacunnet High School and has been coaching high school girls’ soccer for 5 years. Nick coached two of Seacoast United’s Jr. Academy groups in 2011/12 on the boys’ side.  Nick received the New Hampshire Soccer Coaches Association Coach of the Year award in 2009.  He holds licenses with the USSF and NSCAA, and an MS in Sport and Recreation Management from New England College.  He currently lives in Kittery, Maine with his wife Katrina.
   
U15 Select:  Andrew Dawson

Andrew is from England but has lived in the US for almost 30 years now.  He has coached multiple teams over the years at the club level and was the NHSA Youth Coach of the Year in 2004.  

He is currently the varsity girls head coach at Newmarket High School.  He was voted NHSCA High School Coach of the Year for both 2012 and 2013.  He served as Head Coach for the NH State All-Star Lion's Cup team in 2014.  

Andrew holds the USSF National D License and lives in Hampton, NH with his wife Karen and 2 kids, Georgina and Sebastian.  He works at The Timberland Company in Stratham, NH.

   
U16 Elite IS: Iain Scott
  Scott comes to Seacoast United with an extensive coaching background.  From 2000-2005, Iain coached with Scottish First Division club Queen of the South, 3 of those years as head coach.  After his years with QOS, he served as the Youth Academy Director for Gretna Football Club in the Scottish Premier league from 2006-07, then moved on to become the Gretna FC First Team Assistant Manager (‘07-‘08).  Most recently, Scott worked at the senior level in Player Coach Development and Pro Youth Performance with the Scottish Football Association and Scottish Premier League Academy Monitoring (2008-2010).  Scott holds numerous coaching qualifications, including the UEFA A license, UEFA level 5 youth license, a diploma in Sport Psychology, and has received the Youth Directors Award, PSM Performance Sport Movement Award, and the Scottish FA Course Tutor Award.  He is currently the Seacoast United Phantoms PDL head coach.
   
U16 Premier JW:  Jason Wisniewski
 

Jason Wisniewski comes to Seacoast United from Fort Wayne, Indiana where he coached for the Fort Wayne Citadel, Fort Wayne Sport Club and Bishop Dwenger High School the past 14 years.  In club soccer, he coached his ’93 boys to a state title in 2005 and has coached all levels from “Gigglers and Dribblers” to U18 Premier Boys.  At the high school level, Jason’s teams won 8 Conference, 8 Sectional, 6 Regional, 3 Semi-State and 2 Indiana State Championships with over 200 teams competing annually.  He left Bishop Dwenger with a 14 year record of 219-49-16.  He was named the Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association’s Soccer Coach of the Year in 2005 and 2006.  He was also voted the Indiana Soccer Coaches Association’s Girls High School Coach of the Year in 2006.

Jason played soccer at Hofstra University and Robert Morris College (University).  He currently holds an NSCAA National Diploma and USSF “D” license equivalency.  He is an English teacher at Somersworth H.S. and coaches the Girls’ Varsity Soccer Team at Dover H.S.  He lives in Dover, NH with his wife, Laurie and daughter, Zoe.  His family also includes step-son, Patrick, who attends Michigan State University and step-son, Bradley, who attends the University of Tampa. 

   
U17 Elite RY:  Ross Yeoman

U17 Premier CP: Caleb Paterson
 

Caleb earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Business from Keene State College. While attending school, he was a starting midfielder and helped lead the program to 2 Little East Conference championships (2004 & 2005). During his collegiate career he helped lead the team to 4 consecutive NCAA tournament appearances (2004 – 2008). During Caleb’s senior year he was nominated to the 2nd All-Little East Conference Team. He also earned All-New England Honors by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Caleb continued his playing career after college as a member of the Seacoast United Phantoms NPSL squad in  2011 and 2012.  Before college, Caleb was a 4 year starter at Dover High School and a long time member of Seacoast United Soccer Club. While playing for SUSC, Caleb helped lead his team to numerous State, Regional, and National Championship events.  

Caleb is currently the head coach of the Portsmouth High School Boys Soccer program, and the coach of the Seacoast United U16 Boys Select team and a full time staff member at Seacoast United.  He holds a USSF “D” National coaching license.

   
U18 Elite DB:  David Burgess
 

A native of Barrow-in-Furness, England, at 17 years played semi-professional for his home town team.  David moved to the US at age 20 when accepting a full scholarship to attend West Virginia Wesleyan College.  As a player at Wesleyan, he participated in their NAIA National Championship winning team in his first year and also captained the team through 1996-98.  David was named on the All-Conference team for all of his four years of playing.  He completed his MBA at WVWC before moving to New Hampshire in 1999.  David will be voted into the WVWC Hall of Fame as part of the 1994 Championship team in 2012.

During his 15 years at Seacoast United, David has coached and developed many boys and girls teams; highlighted by winning Super Y National Championships in 2009 and 2011.  David has helped grow the Grassroots, Junior Academy and Community programs as well as manage the Indoor Arena in Hampton.  His current position is Director of Facilities and Operations.

   
U18 Premier DL:  Dana Lockwood
 

Dana Lockwood is a former coach of the Londonderry High School boys' program.  During his time at LHS he was the head coach of the freshman and junior varsity teams with his freshman team winning the tournament championship.  Dana is currently the assistant varsity girls' coach at Epping High School.  He is a member of the NH ODP staff and co-director of LYSA Summer Skills and Soccer Camp.  Dana is a scout and assistant coach for the Daniel Webster College boys' program.

Dana holds a NSCAA Director of Coaching Diploma, NSCAA Advanced National Diploma, USSF National "D" license, 10 NFHS certifications, CDC certification and 6 certificatinos through the Coaching Association of Canada, NH Kid Safe certified and is CPR/First Aid certified.  Dana is a former player of the NH Phantoms professional team and former Region I ODP selection.  He has recently received the Fair Play Award.

Dana owns his own landscaping business that is based out of his hometown of Londonderry, NH.
