This 10-week class will be focusing on the importance of combination passing and patterns. Good and effective passing is possible only when the fundamentals of soccer prevail. Taking the ball and control, feeling the ball and coordination are basic prerequisites for successful combination play. The importance of passing in soccer is gigantic. According to studies, more than 50% of the goals made are preceded by a targeted pass. We will be working on a lot of different combinations and taking them into game-based situations. Each class will run for 90 minutes; 60 minutes focusing on passing techniques/patterns and 30 minutes using the techniques in a scrimmage setting.
The quick, sharp combination passing drills will be designed to open up spaces in the opposition to create goalscoring moments. Players will learn how to move the ball quickly with two touches highly encouraged as well as know what they are going to do with the ball before they even receive it.
Sessions will be high intensity and designed/run by Matt Harry.
