Seacoast United Announces Amateur Teams for 2011

Phantoms Will Participate in PDL, NPSL, and WPSL

Seacoast United will field teams in the Premier Development League (PDL), National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), and Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL) in 2011.  All three teams will be known as the Seacoast United Phantoms.

The name “Phantoms” has been synonymous with Amateur / Professional Soccer in the State of New Hampshire for over 15 years, while Seacoast United has been a mainstay in youth development for the entire region for greater than 18 years.  The addition of amateur sides to the Seacoast United development pyramid will create an environment for both players and fans matched by very few organizations in the United States.

Seacoast United Phantoms games will be an atmosphere where families can affordably enjoy a high-level match, eat dinner, and play games.   Our goal is to create a fun environment for families in and around New Hampshire to support the teams and learn about the “Beautiful Game”.  This is a great opportunity for young players to see a high level of soccer in their local community.

The home opener for the Phantoms is scheduled as a doubleheader at Portsmouth High School on Saturday, May 14th, with the women’s squad playing at 1pm, followed by the men at 4pm.

The full season schedule and tickets for all Seacoast United Phantoms home games are available on the Seacoast United website at
