After a 10 day break in the schedule, the Phantoms played host to Western MA Pioneers on Tuesday evening, earning a 1-0 victory over the perennial division favorites.

Midfielder Abel Perez proved difficult for the Pioneers players to defend, weaving his way around defenders and providing offensive support to strikers Anthony Grant and Terrence Carter.  With play being even and chances traded back and forth between teams, the score remained 0-0 heading into halftime.

Midway through the 2nd half, the Phantoms took advantage of a set piece as service from a Perez corner kick found defender Pablo Agudo in the box who redirected the ball into the back of the Pioneers' net for the 1-0 lead.  That goal would prove to be the game winner through the last 20+ minutes of fast paced and physical play.
