Seacoast United’s Executive Director, Paul Willis and Oxford United’s Chairman, Kelvin Thomas today announced further details related to Oxford United's First Team squad coming to the USA for preseason. Oxford, who currently lie mid-table in England's Division II, will arrive in Portsmouth, NH on the evening of July 11th. The club will spend 8 days in the area to train and play a total of three games which are all open to the public.
“Each year we have done more and more between the two Clubs and the trip will highlight just how far our relationship has grown over the last two years”, said Willis.
The final schedule of games will be confirmed by Wednesday, April 13th. As of now, we expect the following games to occur:
Wednesday, July 13th: Manchester United v. New England Revolution at Gillette Stadium, 8pm kickoff.
**Oxford United players will be present at this game as guests of Seacoast United.
Thursday, July 14th: Seacoast United PDL v. Oxford United at Exeter High School, 6:30pm.
Saturday, July 16th: Oxford United v. Mass United FC at Exeter High School, 3pm.
Monday, July 18th: Oxford United v. Seacoast United NPSL at Portsmouth High School, 6:30pm.
