Oxford United Returns To England

Oxford United ended their Pre Season training schedule in New Hampshire and left the USA on Tuesday delighted with the hospitality, facilities and standard of competition.

As Director of Soccer Operations I am encouraged by our player’s performances and the favorable comments we have received from Chris Wilder and his staff.

In any sport it is useful to have a baseline to be able to judge your achievements and after the last nine days of Oxford’s, visit I can safely say that we are on the right track.  With the PDL, NPSL and WPSL we almost have our development pathway complete, next step MLS (we can all dream).

As a Club we have found Chris and his total staff including players to be impeccably behaved, accommodating to all of our requests and would welcome them back anytime. This visit has helped cement the strong relationship between the two clubs and more importantly has opened the door for players from both clubs to be able to train on opposite sides of the Atlantic.

I would personally like to thank Paul Willis, Kelvin Thomas and Ian Burgess for making this visit possible and look forward to future visits from Oxford United.

Finally I would like to wish Oxford United every success during the coming season and hope that this trip to Seacoast United Soccer Club helps them achieve success over the coming months.
