Seacoast United donated soccer balls and cleats to soccer programs supported by Hope Sport United earlier this month. Hope Sport United, in partnership with HOPE International, develops sports programs for kids throughout Haiti. The organization focuses on promoting teamwork, keeping children active, improving motor skills, and training local coaches.
Jarid Siegel, a 2004 SUSC alum, aided with the donation. Jarid is currently volunteering in Haiti where he works with finance teams at various health centers in the Central Plateau region. After leaving SUSC in 2004, Jarid went on to play soccer for Cornell University where he was captain for two years.
Cleats and soccer balls distributed in Haiti were the result of a Shoe/Ball drive
that took place back in August at the Clubs Orientation Night for all U11-U14 teams in Hampton. Thank you to everyone who donated to SUSC to make this gift possible!
