Melvin Torres is joining Seacoast United as a full time member of staff and Director of Softball. For the past 10 years, Melvin successfully ran and coached the Lady Mavericks organization. For over 10 years he created opportunities for players to train, develop their skills and compete against top softball programs in the New England region.
“I have known Melvin for over a year now and have been nothing but impressed with his knowledge and passion for softball and more importantly the kids he’s worked with. The club is thrilled to have him become part of Seacoast United and lead the SU Softball program”, said Paul Willis, SUSC President.
In addition, John Burnham will officially join the Seacoast United Softball program in a part time role as Assistant Director of Softball. John has been involved in the background over the past few months helping Seacoast United pull off a successful tournament in June and help us prepare for the 2019-20 season. Willis commented, “John has been involved in youth softball in the Concord area for a number of years and is still active competing in men’s and coed tournaments across New England. His enthusiasm and willingness to support the game of softball in our region is evident and we are thrilled to have him join the SU Softball program”.
