Carl was then scouted by Blackburn Rovers Academy where he trained and played for four years from under 11’s to under 15’s, before moving to Oldham Athletic Under 16’s. Since leaving the professional set up he has played for Walshaw Sports 1st team and Leeds Met Carnegie in the semi-professional North East Counties league where he was fortunate enough to play in the early rounds of the world-famous FA Cup.

In 2010 Carl I also competed and played in the opening warm up game for an England International futsal game. That same year he played in the Futsal FA Cup, which was televised and took place at Sheffield Arena.
