Seacoast United’s Alumni are in full swing with their collegiate soccer seasons! Read about their progress and accolades received already on this young fall season below.
Emma Clark, Boston University
Seacoast United alumnus and Boston University senior Emma Clark (York, ME) was named First Team All-Patriot League and First Team Mid-Atlantic Region All-American after the conclusion of her 2013 season with the Terriers.
Emma, a tri-captain during her senior year, was an integral part of the BU women's soccer program for the past four seasons. Changing to a holding midfielder position, she contributed to a Terrier defense that allowed only 1 goal to be scored against them in conference play the entire season. Winning the Patriot League Championship, the Terriers qualified for the NCAA tournament, defeating Harvard in the first round before falling to Santa Clara 2-1.
Rachel Hill, University of Connecticut
Seacoast United alumnus Rachel Hill has been invited to the U20 Women’s National Team Camp, taking place at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA at the end of November 2013.
Hill, a freshman at the University of Connecticut, was selected to the American Athletic Conference (ACC) First Team All-Conference and to the ACC All-Rookie Team.
Rachel was a starter in all 20 games for the Huskies, with 13 goals and 5 assists for 31 points which lead the team into the conference playoffs. Four of her goals were game-winners. The Huskies fell to University of South Florida in the ACC quarterfinals by the score of 4-1, with the lone UConn goal scored by Hill.
Tori McCombs, University of Michigan
Tori was recently honored at Michigan’s Senior Day for her contributions to the women’s soccer team prior to their game vs. Ohio State. A starter for 65 of her 78 career games, McCombs has tallied 10 goals and 7 assists as an attacking central midfielder. Michigan has qualified for the NCAA tournament during Tori’s freshman and junior years, and hoping for a bid in 2013 as the team is ranked #10 in the country. Graduating this spring with a degree in English, McCombs is looking to play professionally in Europe for a few years if given the opportunity.
