BASEBALL IN THE CAPITAL CITY

In an effort to provide additional opportunities for players and increase their baseball footprint in New England, the Seacoast United Baseball Club introduced its operations to New Hampshire's Capital City for the 2017-18 season. Since the arrival of baseball at the Seacoast United Concord Indoor Arena, the Club has seen tremendous growth and development, in both programing and the players they train.

“We certainly knew that there was a demand for quality youth baseball programming in the Concord area, which is a huge reason we wanted to introduce our passion, energy and experience to players in the area,” says Jordan Anderson, Director of Cubs Baseball. Seacoast United Baseball Club has established a Skill Development Program, specialized skills classes, and private-instruction for players 8U-14U. “We’ve only just started our baseball relationship with this area. Seacoast United has established its brand through visibility in the community and creating awareness about opportunities, which is something that we’ll continue to model in Concord.”

The expansion to Concord has also provided SUBC with their newest Concord-based Club, the Seacoast United Cubs. In their inaugural year, the Cubs will field teams from 10U-12U and compete in the New England Elite Baseball League. The addition of the Cubs, with the Seacoast NH based Pirates, has added to what is already the largest operating youth baseball organization in the EBL and New England.

“New clubs create more opportunities for players in this area and ultimately, that will always be our goal,” says Anderson. This spring, both clubs will get the opportunity to compete against one another, and showcase their offseason development. “As a Club, we’ve prioritized the development of our players, both on and off the field,” says Anderson. “Using baseball to stress the importance of teamwork, discipline, commitment, and leadership is preparing our players for their advancement in life. As coaches, we have an opportunity to make a difference and if we don’t, we’ve failed.”
