Seacoast United’s 2nd Taste of English Football trip visited London from March 3rd through 9th to take in 3 games during the 6-day stay.
On Saturday March 5th, the group visited the Emirates Stadium for the match between Arsenal and Sunderland which ended in a scoreless draw before 60,000 fans.
Sunday, the group travelled north via coach to Molineux Stadium where Wolverhampton battled back from an early 0-1 deficit to earn a 3-3 draw with visiting Tottenham. The atmosphere was fantastic as both sides were supported by highly enthusiastic crowds. Prior to the match, the Wolves treated the group to a stadium tour, as well as a photo from the Wolves bench.
Monday was a free day on the schedule, with some families travelling by train to Paris while others enjoyed sightseeing around London.
Tuesday’s Championship League match featured Millwall at home, hosting 1st place Queens Park Rangers. The Den had an electric atmosphere for this derby between two London clubs. Millwall upset the league leaders with a 2-0 victory.
Attendees of this year’s trip include representatives from WeGotSoccer (uniform supplier and partner of Seacoast United), Jim & Janet Dedeus of the NH Phantoms, Ocean Properties LTD (preferred lodging partner), FC Greater Boston Bolts (MA), Galway Rovers FC (MA), and families from within the Club.
