2011 Taste of English Football Trip #1 Itinerary

Trip #1:  Friday, January 28th - Thursday, February 3rd, 2011

Depart:  Boston/Logan International - Friday January 28th - Virgin Atlantic 7:40pm
Arrive:  London/Heathrow - Saturday January 29th - 7am

Upon arrival in Heathrow, you will travel via coach to Oxford for the beginning of your 6 day/5 night visit.

Saturday Arrive at the Oxford hotel early morning and check-in.  We will probably have to put bags in hold until check-in later that day.  The hotel will have advance notification of our early arrival.  Game #1:  Division 2 match between SUSC’s adopted English Club Oxford United vs. Cheltenham.  Kick-off at 3pm.  Includes tour of stadium, lunch prior to game and meet some of the players & coaching staff.  Free evening in Oxford.
Sunday Free day in Oxford to see the historic sites including the famous colleges or travel to the likes of Woodstock to see Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill.
Monday Depart Oxford in the morning via coach for inner city London where you will spend 3 nights at the Royal National Hotel.  Monday is a free day to take in the city sights via tube or open top bus tour.  In the past, many visitors have taken in a show in London’s theatre district.
Tuesday Free day in London or travel further by train to various sites.  Later that day, travel by tube for Game #2:  EPL match Arsenal vs. Everton at the Emirates Stadium.  Kick-off at 7:45pm.
Wednesday Free day in London or travel further by train to various sites.  Later that day, travel by tube for Game #3:  EPL match Fulham vs. Newcastle United at Craven Cottage.  Kick-off at 8pm.
Thursday Free morning in London before departing for airport.  Afternoon flight will get us back in Boston on Thursday afternoon.

Depart:  London/Heathrow - Thursday February 3rd - Virgin Atlantic 2:20pm
Arrive:  Boston/Logan International - Thursday February 3rd - 4:30pm

Trip #1 Cost:  $1675 (per person, including airfare)
Price includes round-trip airfare, five nights’ accommodation (double occupancy), tickets to three football games, luxury coach transportation to and from Oxford, lunch prior to Oxford game, Gift & Program Souvenir per family, London Underground tube passes.

These trips are put together by Seacoast United staff in an effort to save families money.  Because of flights and match tickets, it is imperative to respond by October 15th if you have any interest in all.  All trips are chaperoned by Seacoast United Staff.
