CASL Showcase Updates

The Seacoast United U16 & U17 Girls teams spent the weekend at competing at the CASL Showcase tournament in Raleigh, NC.  With frigid temperatures in the area, the U16’s earned a 4-0 victory on Friday vs. Collierville and a 1-1 tie on Saturday vs. Lonestar SC (TX).  The 17’s tied Colorado Storm on Friday, and lost 5-1 vs. Fort Worth (TX) on Saturday.  Games for all age divisions were cancelled on Sunday due to snow.   

RALEIGH, NC - The Seacoast United U16 girls were off to a good start at the CASL Showcase Tournament in Raleigh, NC with a 4-0 win over the Collierville (TN) Lady Lobos.  Rachel Hill (2), Carlin Zia, and Lydia Simmonds had the goals for Seacoast, in addition to a strong defensive effort led by goalkeepers Kate Mahoney and Caton Beaulieu.  The 16’s also played very well in a 1-1 tie vs. Lonestar SC (TX) on Saturday.

The U17’s played to a 1-1 tie in their first game on Friday vs. the Colorado Storm, and lost 5-1 vs. Fort Worth (TX) on Saturday.

Sunday’s games (U16’s vs. SAC United, Maryland and U17’s vs. Pittsgrove SC, New Jersey) were cancelled due to snow.   Both Seacoast United teams were able to attend the NCAA Division I Women’s Final where the University of Notre Dame beat Stanford University 1-0.
