Mountaineers Win KickIt 3v3 World Championships
January 21, 2013
The Seacoast United Mountaineers U14’s headed to Orlando FL to play at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in the Kick-It 3v3 Soccer World Championships from January 19–21st.  The team consisted of Mark Chrysafidis, Joey Cleary, Gunner Found, Ken Gilbert, Matt Hamilton, and Daniel Krivitsky. The boys are coached by Scott Chrysafidis.

The Mountaineers, seeded 6th, faced the tough competition of playing the top two seeded teams at the start of the tournament.  The Mountaineers put up a good game and had scores that were close, yet they were unable to thwart the opposition.  On day two, the Mountaineers came back to beat the third seeded team from Louisiana by a score of 5–1 but the Mountaineers were unable to get out from a 5–4 loss to Fayetteville of North Carolina.  What a great game that was!  As a result, the boys earned the top seed in the Silver Bracket games of day three.

In the final day of playoffs, Seacoast United Mountaineers faced the winner of the NY Deportivo/NC Fayetteville match.  With NY advancing, the Mountaineers held a comfortable lead the entire game to earn the title of U14 Kickit 3v3 Silver Bracket Champions.  The NH team is very proud to have their name on the championship list for 2013!

The Seacoast United Mountaineers are based out of the Wolfeboro, NH area.  For more information on teams and programs, please visit www.seacoastunited.com/mountaineers.
