FIELD HOCKEY CLINIC- AGES 5-11

This clinic will be geared towards girls ages 5-11. No prior experience is needed!! We welcome all and encourage new players to come out and try the sport of field hockey! We will combine a mixture of fitness/skill and game play. This clinic will be coached by Katie White, director of Seacoast United field hockey, former UNH field hockey player, former 5 year division 1 field hockey coach and Megan Shea, former UNH field hockey player and current assistant coach at UNH. Megan is also a 6 year Seacoast United field hockey coach.

A chance for 5-11 yr olds to be appropriately challenged in a fun and competitive learning environment! This program will focus on individual skills which are crucial to all players' confidence with the ball.  We will incorporate skill work into scrimmage play, allowing all players a chance to recognize how their confidence with the ball relates to game-play situations and success. We will teach the basic fundamentals of field hockey and emphasize proper technique. This clinic will be a learning environment where the athletes can take their time and practice, ask questions and learn at their own pace so our younger players have a great foundation of the game! This high energy skills clinic will hopefully bring our younger players the LOVE we have for the game, a chance to meet new friends and learn the importance of sport!!

Seacoast United is excited to announce two new field hockey programs for young children!

Grassroots Turf Stars Program is a unique opportunity for young children to get involved in the game of field hockey.  The program ranges from ages 4-6, and offers a unique learning experience for all involved.  Each age group is appropriate challenged with specifically designed developmental games and activities.  In each class, the main objective is to teach while having fun.  The overall theme is for children to relate having fun with playing field hockey and to develop the necessary skills to be a competitive player in the future.

Skills & Scrimmage Program is a chance for 7-10 yr olds to be appropriately challenged in a fun learning environment.  This program will focus on individual skills which are crucial to all players' confidence with the ball.  These classes will also incorporate skill work into scrimmage play, allowing all players a chance to recognize how their confidence with the ball relates to game-play situations and success.
