SUSC’s Training Academy Program is our premier camp during the summer months for players age 7-18. The highest quality instruction will be given to motivated players willing to learn, be tested and pushed technically and tactically. Players should be ready to experience a learning environment where creativity, confidence, and hard work is expected. Our full time coaches, club coaches, international staff as well as current college and former SUSC players will mix a high level of play with the right amount of fun to make this our best day camp of the summer. Both weeks will be held at Berwick Academy in South Berwick, Maine.
Already gearing up for our 4th year of the Training Academy, all staff members and coaches are excited about another opportunity to work with so many motivated players. There are some big changes in the daily schedule coming for 2012 and we hope those changes bring forward a better soccer experience for all.

Q: Is the Training Academy the right camp for my player?
A: SUSC’s Training Academy will be most appropriate for players who play at the highest level for their respective age groups. The majority of players will have lots of experience for their age, stand out in their respective teams & leagues or have particiapted in SUSC’s Jr. Academy or club teams. High School players will also be challenged technically, tactically, and physically during the week.
Q: Who will make up the coaching staff?
A: Our coaching staff will be made up of SUSC full & part time coaches, experienced summer camp staff members, current college and WPSL players. Each week staff members may include Matthew Glode, Matt Sprague, David Burgess, Ian Burgess, John Price, Peter Decker, Jamie Phillips, Dan Revis, Tim Farrell, Rich Weinrebe, Joey Barima, Paul Willis, Rick Lang, Kelly Kelly, returning international staff - Declan Neil, Ben Garrett, David Swabrick, etc.

A: In short, yes. However, please consider the answer above, the length of day (9:00am to 7:00pm) and expectation level of the camp carefully before you register. There are other camps offered which will provide a very high level of coaching in a much shorter time frame (3 hour camps). If you have a younger player you might be better suited for our Jr. Academy Prep Camp, Finishing School, Skills Camp or the SUSC/Rob Thompson Advanced Day Camp held from 9:00-4:00pm.
Q: What should my player bring with them each day?
A: All players will need to bring necessary soccer equipment including a ball, soccer shoes (cleats & indoors/turfs), soccer socks, shin guards, water bottle & appropriate soccer clothing.
